Obituary

ALBANY – Harry "Woody" Logan, age 73, Albany, died Wednesday night at home following an illness.  Born in Aurora, CO, on Aug. 20, 1943, he grew up in Muncie and later moved to Albany.  He was a 1961 graduate of Muncie Central High School and retired from Borg Warner in 2005.  Woody was also a former Marshall for the Town of Albany and a reserve police officer in Muncie and Yorktown.  He was a member of Local UAW 287 and served as Vice President and President of that union.  He also belonged to the Jaycees and Fraternal Order of Police.

Survivors include a daughter: Kimberly Logan Kirtz, Albany; a sister: Rhonda Logan Bailey and nephew: Ian, Ft. Wayne; son-in-law: Sterling Quakenbush, Albany, and was known as Poppy to seven grandchildren: Kasey, Tyler, Anthony, Chelsey, Andrew, Isebella, Zander, and three great-grandchildren: Izayah, Laylah, and Josie.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene & Flora (Brown) Logan and a daughter: Sebrina Quakenbush who died in 2015.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meacham Funeral Service; cremation will follow.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Fund.
