INDIANAPOLIS – Harold "Bill" Seidner, age 93, Indianapolis, died Thursday, November 4, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. Born in Albany, he was the son of Edward & Clara Seidner. He lived in the Albany/Muncie areas and Ohio before moving to Indianapolis 56 years ago. Bill worked for Indianapolis Drop Forge and White Metals as a die sinker before retiring in 1977 and was a union officer during his working years.
Survivors include a son: Robert Seidner (wife: Lona), Jamestown, IN, and Kathy Strong, Indianapolis; 2 sisters: Marjorie VanDine (husband: Robert), Cape Coral, FL, and Mary Coldwell, Mt. Gilead, OH; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta (Turner), who died in 2000. Also deceased are his parents, 3 brothers: Howard, Morris, and Robert Seidner, and 5 sisters: Wanda Whitcomb, Helen Seidner, Ruth Hagen, Wilma Giauque, and Ruby White.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday November 8, 2010, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Visiting hours will be from 12-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
