Gerald L. (Gary) Copley, Sr., age 59, Albany, passed away Tuesday August 23, 2022 at home.  Born in Muncie November 7, 1962, he was a lifelong resident of Delaware County.  Gary attended Delta High School where he worked as a custodian for the past 8 months.  He was a mechanic at Country Classics Marine in Albany for 27 years and farmed several years ago in Delaware County.  Gary enjoyed hunting, racing a 1974 Vega at the Muncie Dragway, and riding 4-wheelers with his best friend, Andy Williams.  Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pam Copley; son: Gerald L. (Gary) Copley, Jr. (wife: Michelle), Ridgeville; daughter: Stephanie Copley (fiancé: Heather), Redkey; brothers: Tim Copley, GA, and Tracy Copley (wife: Kathy), GA; sisters: Tammy Copley, Muncie, and Patty Haisley, Muncie; grandchildren: Makenna Copley, Maicee Copley, Kassidee Dabbs, Nick Dabbs, and Kolton Chapman; great-granddaughter: Adrianna Chester, and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Carolyn S. (Greer) McLaughlin and grandparents: Ray (Sr.) & Corine (Aul) Greer.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday September 1, 2022 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service.  Casual dress is recommended.
