DUNKIRK – Geneva "Peggy" Miller, age 75, Dunkirk, died Friday afternoon at home following an extended illness. Born in Hurricane, WV on May 25, 1936, she moved to Indiana in 1967 and was a Dunkirk resident for most of her life. She retired from Kerr Glass (now Verallia), Dunkirk, after working there for over 20 years. Peggy was a member of Local 96 and Big Creek Baptist Church in WV. She also attended Dunkirk Calvary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include 3 sons: Wayne McCallister (wife: Janet), Dunkirk, Danny McCallister (wife: Cindy), Sarasota, FL and Greg McCallister and friend, Portland; a daughter: Vicky Marcum (husband: Jim), Eaton; 4 step-daughters: Martha Bantz (husband: Steve), Roanoke, Kathy Sliger (husband: Jim), Albany, Karolynn Hicks, Portland, and Kristy Miller, Bluffton; 3 brothers: Johnny Hager (wife: Alice), Hurricane, WV, Calvin Hager (wife: Linda), Hurricane, WV and Ronnie Hager (wife: Wanda), Hurricane, WV; 4 sisters: Ruth Ashworth, Troy, OH, Ilder Smith (husband: Sam), WV, Mary Bays, Flushing, MI and Christalee Persinger (husband: Johnny), Hurricane, WV; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and her dearest friend Joann Nelson, Redkey.

She is preceded in death by parents, Shelby & Victoria Hager; first husband, Joe McCallister; second husband, Gene Miller; 2 sons, Jerry & Randy; a daughter, Pam and 3 brothers: Raymond, Alvin and Cornelius.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Dunkirk.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
