ALBANY – Freida J. Marshall died Monday March 28th at Miller's Merry Manor, Dunkirk. Born on May 9, 1929 in Ringos Mills, KY, she graduated from Flemingsburg High School in 1947 and moved to Indiana in 1949 with her husband, Warren. She lived in Albany for forty-six years and enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and spending time with her special friend, Amanda Thompson. Freida was a Past Worthy Matron of Order of The Eastern Star – Teresa Chapter 237, Albany.
Survivors include her son and daughter: Ron Marshall (wife: Linda) and Lori Ritchey (husband: Doug); a brother: Martin Curtis (wife: Joanne); a sister: Ruth Kiser; three grandchildren: Kate Marshall, Molly Midtgard, and Ramona Ritchey; three great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Emma, and Andy. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Warren Marshall, who died in 1998; her parents: Samuel & Pearl Curtis; three brothers: Donald, David, and Bruce; seven sisters: May, Suda, Lucy, Fannie, Blanche, Bernice, Marie, and a great-grandchild: Nathan Schrader.
Private graveside services will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery; her nephew, Larry Dyer, will officiate. There are no calling hours.
