Floyd H. Stephen, age 90, Dunkirk, died Friday August 30, 2024 at his home.  Born in Redkey on March 3, 1934, he grew up there and lived near Dunkirk for all of his life.  Floyd worked at Borg Warner for 30 years before retiring and also worked at Indiana Glass Co. in Dunkirk.  He belonged to an archery club in Jay County and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and working on his tractors.

Survivors include sons: Floyd E. Stephen, Dunkirk, Donny Stephen (wife: Rita), Redkey, Bert A. Stephen (wife: Sherry), Portland, and Tommy Stephen, Dunkirk; daughters: Jacquetta S. Wright (husband: Monte), Pendleton, and Julie Davis (husband: Jerry), Dunkirk; two sisters, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Roberta Stephen, who died in 2017; his parents: Bert A. & Lilly Mabel Stephen, brothers, and sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Meacham Funeral Service with burial following at Salamonia Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
