ALBANY – Evelyn L. McDaniel, age 80, Indianapolis, died Sunday night at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home.  Born in Muncie on March 26, 1937, she was the daughter of Virgle D. and Thelma B. (Helm) Anderson.  She was a1955 graduate of Albany High School and received a teaching degree from Ball State University.  Evelyn taught school for a short time in Charlestown and Corydon (Indiana) but spent most of her working years as an accountant for RCA (now BMG).  She retired in 2004 and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her sister, Carol M. Anderson, Indianapolis; two aunts: Hariett Mosier, Farmland, Dolly Pursley, NC, and cousins including Candy Hatzell, Redkey.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 44 years, William D. McDaniel, who died in 2004.  Her parents are also deceased.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Meacham Funeral Service with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 12 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
