Elouise Riddle, age 89, Fairview, passed peacefully at home the morning of Saturday, August 20, 2022.  Born in Adair County, Kentucky on February 12, 1933, she attended high school in Columbia (KY) and moved to Indiana in the early 1950s.  Mrs. Riddle retired in 1995 after working several years for the Jay County School Corporation as Head Cook.  In earlier years she worked seasonally for Stiffler's Candy in Albany.  She attended New View of The Cross in Albany, devoted herself to her family, and enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, and riverside fires with friends.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, James Riddle; son: Don Riddle (wife: Sara), North Ft. Myers, FL; daughter: Robin Warren, Morristown; sister: Joyce Powell, Columbia, KY, and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Leslie & Emma (Bennett) Triplett and 2 sisters: Geneva Loy and Doris Reece.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.

Visiting hours are Wednesday from 12 until 1p.m. at the funeral home.
