ALBANY - Elmer (Mack) McKinley Doane peacefully crossed into heaven Monday night, September 18, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.  Mack married the love of his life, Patty Doane (Robertson), on July 25th 1992.  He's survived by children Alicia and Mick, grandchildren Chloe, Danica, Jollie, siblings Roger, Suzann, Annessa, Wendell, and half sister Monica.  He served in the United Sates Marine Corps for 6 years, stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War.  Mack loved to play computer games, watch NASCAR, and watch the Colts and Packers play football.  Playing the guitar was his passion and everyone loved to gather around to listen and watch him play.  The family would like to offer a personal thanks to the Ball Memorial Oncology center, and all the staff that worked personally with our family. We will miss Mack dearly, but rejoice in his transition to his forever home.

Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the home of Suzann Bassel and Wendell Doane located at 3861 N. 300 W., Anderson, IN.
