ALBANY – Our loving mother, Eileen Booher, age 93, Albany, passed from this life into eternal life with Jesus on Sunday morning at Westminster Nursing Home.  Born in Parkersburg, WV on June 8, 1920, she moved to Indiana in 1945 and was a resident of Albany for most of her life.  During the years of WWII she was an executive secretary at Pure Oil Co. in Parkersburg, West Virginia and also volunteered with the Red Cross, rolling bandages to be sent overseas for our soldiers.  Her greatest joy in life was the love of her husband and raising her family with great care and love in her cherished home.  For many years she loved to play golf with her husband and also enjoyed her bridge club.  Eileen was a member of Albany Christian Church, Tri Kappa, and Dunkirk Elks Lodge.

Survivors include a son: James T. Booher, Muncie; two daughters: Joyce Marker (husband: Tim), Clarkston, MI, and Jane Haugh (husband: Larry), Shelburne, VT; 5 grandchildren: Wendi, Joshua, Jeremy, Amy, and Cara; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James V. Booher, who died in 1995; her parents: Harry & Catherine Berlin; an infant daughter: Barbara Jo Booher; two brothers: Richard & Carl Berlin, and a sister: Helen Craig.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
