MUNCIE – E. Duane Life, age 65, Muncie, died Monday morning at Muncie Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pasadena, CA on April 25, 1945, he moved to Redkey in 1950 and was a Muncie resident for several years. Duane attended Redkey High School and at one time worked in farming for Phil Groves Farms near Albany. He also was a self-employed motor escort for the transportation of modular homes and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He leaves behind his wife, Debra Life; a son: Robert Life (wife: Mindy), New Haven; 2 step-sons: Staff Sgt. Michael Jackson (wife: Chrissy), Ft. Dix, NJ, and Andrew Jackson (wife: Alison), Muncie; a brother: Floyd Life, Redkey; a sister: Joyce Life Ishmael (husband: Tony), Cincinnati, OH; his wife's parents: Darrell & Betty Hensley, Albany; 5 grandchildren: Madisun Life, Christopher Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Annie Jackson, and Alivia Jackson; 2 nieces: Sabrina Newsome, Daleville, and Katrina Howe, Cincinnati, OH, and his good friend Phil Gregg (wife: Shirley), Muncie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Keith & Theda Life.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday February 17, 2011 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
