Dorothy Glaze, age 89, died Monday February 10, 2025 at Cedar Creek of Muncie.  Born in Muncie on February 14, 1935, she grew up there and was a 1952 graduate of Muncie Central High School.  Dorothy lived east of Albany for several years near Fairview.  She worked 42 years for Mutual Bank and was a realtor with Tom D. Flesher in Albany for 22 years.  Dorothy was well known in the Albany community and enjoyed socializing with family & friends.  She belonged to local card club, sorority, and would often attend area fairs, horse pulls, flea markets, and her grandchildren's sporting events.  Over the years she attended Fairview Church; she always looked nice and loved to shop.

Survivors include sons: Kerry A. Stinson (wife: Karen), Parker City, and Eric Glaze (wife: Kathy), Selma; daughters: Theresa Johnson (companion: Mike Hensley), Selma, Connie Swingley (husband: Tony), Knoxville, TN, Tina Taylor (husband: Randy), Selma, and Tara Romero (husband: Joe), Selma; brother-in-law: Meredith Rupe, CO; 15 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ralph E. "Gene" Glaze, who died in 2024; parents: Charles & Ruby (Stanley) Wirt; sisters: Donna Ruth Richmond and Pauline Esther Rupe, and brother-in-law: Robert Richmond.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025 at Meacham Funeral Service with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
