Obituary

Delnor "Bud" Henry, age 81, Albany, died Sunday October 27, 2024 following a brief illness.  Born in Portland on May 20, 1943, he grew up in Redkey and was a graduate of Redkey High School.  Bud was a millwright electrician and retired from Saint Gobain Containers (now Ardagh), Dunkirk, after working there for 44 years.

He was a member of Frank Merry Park and enjoyed radio control airplanes, shooting sports, working on old tractors, and watching all forms of auto racing.

Survivors include sons: Rick "Eric" Henry (wife: Mindi), Muncie, and Aaron "Ron" Henry (wife: Stacie), Crystal Lake, IL; sister: Sandra (Henry) Kaufman, Dunkirk; grandchildren: Lauren Henry, Muncie, Sara Henry, Gaston, Eric Henry, Muncie, Noah Henry, Muncie, Thomas Henry, Crystal Lake, IL, and Colin Henry, Crystal Lake, IL; step-grandchildren: Ethan Lechien, Muncie, Elijah Lechien, Muncie, and Isabella Lechien, Muncie; great-grandchildren: Molly Huffman, Rusty Huffman, and Darby Huffman.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Penny Henry, whom he married in 1963; parents: Donald & Alice (Overla) Henry; brothers: Pete Henry and Junior Virgil Henry; sisters: Alice Henry, Elnora Rees, Letha Jane Henry, Joan Henry, and Janet Henry.

Private family services will be held at Meacham Funeral Service with burial to follow.
