Dawn Nell (McConnell) Myers, 56, Albany, passed away Saturday November 11, 2023 at home following a long illness, surrounded by family.  Born in Muncie on December 6, 1966, she grew up in Albany and was a 1985 graduate of Delta High School.  She went to nursing school where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant license and also attended Ivy Tech for nursing.  Dawn was a C.N.A. at Ball Memorial Hospital and at various nursing homes in the area for many years.  She also worked at Indiana Glass and Stone Images for several years.  Dawn enjoyed fishing, gardening, puzzles, baking, crocheting, taking care of Bella (her fur baby), and listening to all kinds of music.  More especially, she loved being a momma and a granny.

Survivors include a son: Joshua Myers (Shelby), Albany; daughters: Jessica Ervin (Kowan), Albany, Hope Myers, Redkey, and Kara Bost (Ethan), Ridgeville; brothers: Dean McConnell (Miscee), Muncie, and William McConnell (Danielle), Glendale, AZ; sisters: Jeanne McConnell, Muncie, and Annie Armstrong (Charles), Redkey; 10 grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jerry L. (Sr.) & Betty M. (Williams) McConnell, brother: Jerry McConnell, Jr., and a sister: Seena Blackburn.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Cremation will follow.

Visiting hours are Friday from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
