PENNVILLE – David A. Penrod, formerly of Pennville, died Friday afternoon at Millers Merry Manor in Dunkirk. He was 70 years of age. Born in Decatur on April 3, 1939, his parents were Wilmer & Juanita Penrod. David was a person of special needs who lived with his parents until the time of their death. Always compassionate and caring for others, he loved to laugh and be with his nieces & nephews. He loved camping, especially at Raccoon Lake, where he would spend countless evenings feeding raccoons.

David will be greatly missed by his brother: Rex E. Penrod, Muncie; 2 sisters: Sandra K. Zirkle, Dunkirk, and Janet Sue Rines, Indianapolis, and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday March 22, 2010, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, by family member and pastor Rob Neel. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pennville.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 12 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
