ALBANY – Darlene S. Gleeson, age 78, passed away peacefully Thursday morning surrounded by family.  Born in Muncie on Oct. 17, 1936 to S.W. "Pete" & Lillian Bayman, she was raised in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1954.  She married Gene R. Gleeson on Nov. 4, 1956.  She worked at Merchant National Bank of Albany and later Citizens First State Bank of Dunkirk before retiring in 1997.  After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren and trips to Arizona.  She was an avid Colts and Pacers fan and a member of Albany United Methodist Church, Delta Theta Tau, and a lifetime member of Albany Golf Club.  Darlene took pride in her family and leaves a special love in each and every life that she touched.

Survivors include her 4 sons: Shane Gleeson, Muncie, Terry Gleeson (wife: Patricia), Gilbert, AZ, Randy Gleeson (wife: Katina), Gaston, and Chris Gleeson (wife: Adriana), Gilbert, AZ; a sister: Wanda Clevenger (husband: Jim), Albany; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers-in-law: Lowell King, Americus, GA, Kenny Bullock, Muncie, and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Gene; a brother: Jack Bayman, and 2 sisters: Betty Lou King and Shirley Bullock.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Albany United Methodist Church with burial following at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
