REDKEY – Daniel "Danny" Weaver, age 53, Redkey, died Tuesday evening at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness. Born in Portland on Mar. 5, 1960, he grew up in Redkey and was a 1978 graduate of Jay County High School. Danny was employed with Stoneridge Electronics of North America and McDonalds, both in Portland. At one time he worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Portland, and Peyton's Northern Distribution Center in Bluffton. He was on the Redkey Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years and a member of the Redkey Lions Club. Danny enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola products and will be remembered for being a kind, humble man, and a good friend to many.
Survivors include his wife, Renee (Beal) Weaver; 2 sons: Eric E. Evans, Modoc, and Jonathon L. Weaver, Redkey; 2 daughters: Janette Huber (husband: Daniel), Indianapolis, and Coral Weaver, Redkey; his mother: Alice M. Weaver, Redkey; a brother: Bryan C. Weaver (wife: Patty), Muncie; a sister: Bobbi Jo Louck (husband: Richard), Redkey; a grandson: Arthur Huber, and several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jay M. Weaver.
Services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
