Daniel Wayne Duckworth, age 83, Muncie, died Friday May 29, 2026 at home following an extended illness. Born in Delaware County on March 6, 1943, he grew up in Randolph County and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe Central High School. He lived near Albany for several years before moving to Muncie. Daniel was a pipefitter for General Motors and worked 42 years before retiring in 2001. He also worked 30 years as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Albany E.M.S. and was a member of Crown City Cruisers (car club).

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rosalee Duckworth; a sister: Allie Mae Huber, Parker City; special friend: Sonia Smith and her children: Blayne Smith and Sofia Smith.

He is preceded in death by sons: Robert Shawn Duckworth and Shane Duckworth; his parents: Lee & Mary (Coulter) Duckworth; a brother, and three sisters.

Private burial will occur at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
