ALBANY – Charles W. Jester, age 85, Albany, died Sunday October 15, 2017 at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Delaware County on October 22, 1931, he attended Albany schools and had lived in Dunkirk for several years before moving back to Albany.  Charlie retired from Borg Warner in 1997 after working there for forty-seven years and was a member of Local 287.  He also worked at Texaco in Dunkirk and had various other jobs over the years.  He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Portland.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter: Art Jester (wife: Marcia), Union City, IN, Nancy Hickman (husband: Desi), Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and David Jester (wife: Nicole), Coral Springs, FL; his sister: Judith Geiger, Albany, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Rollie R. & Stella (Barber) Jester; three brothers: Jim, Carl, and Robert Jester, and five sisters: Donna Willman, Barbara Booher, Ruth Huffman, and two that died in infancy.
