Chad A. Hunt, age 44, Muncie, died Tuesday January 24, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.  Born in Muncie on April 23, 1978, he grew up in Delaware County and was a 1996 graduate of Delta High School.  He received an Associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College and worked as a carpenter for several years.  Chad was employed last at Canpack, Muncie, as a millwright.  He was a former member of the Dunkirk Moose Lodge and enjoyed woodworking, welding, and painting cars.

Survivors include a son: Jett Daniel Hunt, Dunkirk, and daughter: Harlee Hunt, Muncie; mother: Judy Jarvis (husband: Don), Albany; father: Bill Hunt, Muncie, sister: Courtney Wilson (husband: Greg), Muncie; maternal grandfather: Roger McCormick; nephews: Gavin, Hunter, and Griffin; niece: Kennedi; step-sister: Dana Bates (Dave), and step-brother: Mark Jarvis (Diana).

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Elgin Hunt and Margaret Foster, and maternal grandmother: Charlotte McCormick.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Meacham Funeral Service with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Casual dress is preferred.
