Cathy J. (Wright) Johnson, age 71, Redkey, died Saturday June 6, 2026 at her home. Born in Muncie on January 17, 1955, she grew up in Albany and was a 1973 graduate of Albany High School. Cathy lived in Redkey for over 30 years. She will be remembered as unique and sassy, and most importantly – a dedicated grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Joshua E. Johnson (wife: Lisa), Parker City; sister: Carolena Johnson (husband: Gary), Albany; grandchildren: Hannah (Johnson) Vore (Justin), Brandon Cramer, Savannah Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Jozilyn Johnson, Vivian Johnson, and Joysen Johnson; great-grandchildren: Madison Vore, Kove Cramer, Chloe Vore, Brooks Bechtol, Elsie Bechtol, and Lylah Vore.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Eddie Johnson; father: Frederick Eugene Wright; mother: Mary Juanita Gannon; brother: Harry Wright and sister: Loretta Fry. 

Visitation will be Friday June 19, 2026 at Meacham Funeral Service from 6 until 8 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 8 p.m.
