Betty E. (Jones) Vaughn, age 72, Dunkirk, died Thursday July 9, 2026 at home with family by her side. Born in Marion on May 8, 1954, she attended Dunkirk High School and worked in factories over her lifetime including Pretzels Inc. where she retired from.

Survivors include sons: Terry Eugene Vaughn (wife: Jennifer), Dunkirk, Charles Henry Vaughn (wife: Betty Jo), Albany, and Paul Derick Vaughn, Dunkirk; brothers: Albert Jones, Dunkirk, Richard (Rick) Jones (wife: Carol), Dunkirk, Phillip Jones, Madison, and Kenneth Jones (wife: Jennifer Hyer), Dunkirk; sisters-in-law: Barb Foy (husband: Larry), Dunkirk, and Penny Vaughn, Dunkirk; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Terry Lee Vaughn, who died in 2023; parents: Henry & Nora (Croucher) Jones; brothers: Tom Jones, George Jones, Henry Robert (Bobby) Jones, James Arthur (Ark) Jones, Earl Jones, and (infant) Walter Leroy Jones; sisters: Jane Wolf, Ann Marie Renaught, Agnes Moore, and Vickie Beavers.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery with burial to follow.
