Bernice Pittenger, 85, Albany, died Thursday May 24, 2018 at Signature Health Care, Muncie.  Born in Albany on October 10, 1932, she was a graduate of Albany High School and a lifelong resident of the town.  Bernice was a self-employed beautician for forty years before retiring and was a member of Albany United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a nephew: Tim Pittenger, Muncie; a niece: Julie Hamilton, Warsaw, and a great-niece: Holly Hamilton, Warsaw.

Her husband of fifty-six years, Donald E. Pittenger, died in 2008.  Her parents, Clarence and Reba Tharp, are also deceased.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 12 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
