Barbara J. Lewis, age 81, passed away Saturday November 8, 2025 at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Muncie on July 15, 1944, she was a lifelong Albany resident and 1962 graduate of Albany High School.  Barbara worked at Kerr Glass (now Ardagh), Dunkirk, for 30 years before retiring in 2007.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing, volleyball, crocheting, crafts, gardening, and horseback riding.  She was a John Wayne superfan and loved to travel with family & friends.  Some of her favorite trips included those to Hawaii and Alaska which lead to world travel to Amsterdam, Paris, London, Venice, Austria, and Switzerland.

Survivors include her sister, Judy Davis (husband: Dave), Albany, and several nieces & nephews including Sue Bowdell, Albany.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Ralph (Razz) Sr. & Orpha Marie (Wilson) Lewis, 4 brothers: Ralph Lews, Jr. (infant), Charles (Oskie) Lewis, Robert (Razz) Lewis, Dale Lewis, and a sister: Betty Gregg.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Black Cemetery, Albany.  Cremation was chosen.

Barb requested no flowers; her wishes were for memorials to be sent to Albany Christian Church for their food bank at P.O. Box 129, Albany, IN 47320 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Special thanks is given to the staff at Albany Health Care for the great care given to Barbara during her stay there.
