ALBANY - Avis I. Blair, age 95, Albany, died Thursday evening at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Albany on February 28, 1922, she was the daughter of Frank & Mary (Starbuck) Lucas.  She graduated from Albany High School in 1940 and was a graduate of Ambers Beauty School.  She owned & operated a beauty shop in Albany during the 1940's and worked for a salon in Muncie for several years before retiring.  She belonged to Gamma Nu sorority (former officer), Portland Moose Lodge, and Warner Gear Sympathy Club.

She is survived by her husband, Frederick E. Blair, whom she married in 1946.  Also surviving are two grandchildren: Alan and Chad, a niece, and two nephews.

Her parents, a son: Dr. Garre Blair, and a brother: Robert are deceased.

There will be no public serivces.  Cremation was chosen with burial at Union Cemetery, Eaton.
