ALBANY – Amy R. Hunter, age 84, Albany, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at home.  She was born April 4, 1931, in Lawrence County, Indiana to Lowery and Etha (Alexander) Millick.  She was a 1949 graduate of Linton Stockton High School, Linton, and married her beloved husband, David R. Hunter, in 1951.  Amy was employed by Motor Freight Corporation, Terre Haute, and A&H Commission House, Linton.  After moving to California in 1951 she was employed by Civil Service, U.S. Marine Corps. in Barstow, CA.  She came to Albany in 1955 and was employed by Craig Trucking and B&L Motor Freight.  In 1970 she established Tariff Service in Albany which she owned and operated until December of 2014.  Amy was a member of Albany Christian Church where she attended since 1955.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, David R. Hunter, and their beloved daughter: Claudia Lynn Jeffers (husband: Kyle); a granddaughter: Kyla L. Bartle (husband: David III); two great-granddaughters: Alexis and Brooklyn Bartle; a sister: Jessie Weaver; a sister-in-law: Phyllis Millick, and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
