Allen Sloniker, age 63, formerly of Albany, died Sunday November 21, 2021 at home in Indianapolis following an extended illness.  Born in Muncie July 12, 1958, he lived in the Albany area for several years before recently moving to Indianapolis.  Allen was a 1976 graduate of Monroe Central High School and was a current Band Booster.  He was a local factory worker and also farmed in Randolph County.  He served on the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department over 20 years and was a former Fire Chief.  Allen was a tractor enthusiast – he belonged to Randolph County Tractor Club, enjoyed working on large tractors, and collected toy tractors.  Spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren – was of most importance.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lisa (Kelly) Sloniker, and their children: Andrew Sloniker (girlfriend: Katie), Kokomo, and Ashley Young (husband: Allen), Indianapolis; 2 grandchildren: Wesley Allen Young and Addisen Janel Young.

He parents, Richard L. & Judith L. (Retter) Sloniker, are deceased.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Cremation was chosen.

Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
