Norelia Holdcroft, age 81, Dunkirk, died Saturday August 25, 2018 at Parker Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Delaware County on August 4, 1937, she was the daughter of Marlin & Jeanette (Frazee) Glaze. She graduated from Selma High School and farmed with her husband in Blackford and Jay County for several years. Norelia was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, north of Dunkirk, where she belonged to Womens Bethel Aid. She enjoyed living on the farm and raising her family. Her family was her most important hobby as well as camping, cooking, and attending sporting events that her kids and grandkids were involved in. She also enjoyed her church family and friends, making lots of memories with her Sunday school class.
Survivors include her children, JoDee Holdcroft, Muncie, and Paul Holdcroft, Dunkirk; five grandchildren: Levi Holdcroft (Savannah Harrison), Muncie, Sarah Holdcroft, Muncie, Baxter Holdcroft (Liz Holdcroft), Dunkirk, Baylea Holdcroft (Rhett Thompson), Muncie, and Breea Holdcroft, Dunkirk; two great-grandchildren: Beau Richard Holdcroft and Arlee Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Charles “Richard” Holdcroft who died in 2013, a son: Edward Holdcroft, and her parents.
Services will be 4 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church, State Road 167 North, Dunkirk. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the church on Friday.
