I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
I have found comfort in this scripture at Revelation chapter 21 verse 4. It helps us to know that God cares about our pain and suffering and will one day do away with it.

One of the things that drew me to the Danville VA was a separate interview I had with Pat, him being the Chief of Surgery. I've always enjoyed doing musculoskeletal/orthopedic work so Pat was a natural go to guy and his input was highly valued. He left a great impression on me and I enjoyed working with him immeasurably. He will truly be missed. Condolences and Godspeed to all the surviving Murrays. Pat Bennett, MD

I only worked at CIO for about 5 years when Dr Murray was there, and while at first, I was a bit scared of him, after awhile, I realized how interesting he was to listen to. He was one of those people who could make any subject you might not even have cared about interesting, if it was something he had an interest in, because he was so knowledgeable and passionate about it. Once I realized this, I just loved to get him talking if I could. You could learn a lot from him. I know he will be missed by a lot of people. I am very sorry for your loss.

I enjoyed my short time of knowing Dr. Murray. He was always helpful and friendly to me. He was a good teacher for me, and I appreciate that he took the time to teach me. I pray that your memories of him and family times will give you all peace and comfort in the weeks ahead.

I visited Dr. Murray just this past Thursday at the VA in Danville. We had friendly banter back and forth during my appointment that I don't think he always participated in. Im sad to know I wont be able to visit with him anymore. RIP Dr.

Joni & Jenna: The world has lost a good man, father (grandfather) and leader. Although I only had one opportunity to be with him at our Albany home to discuss our Bell family connection, I was amazed at his general enthusiasm for life and determination to help others. He had an amazing recollection of family facts. His endurance to consistently make the trip between Albany and Danville to help others speaks volumes to his true character as a man and as a doctor ! I do wish I had more time with him too! My (our) condolences...

Our mothers were first cousins from the Bell family of Niles Township. Our great grandfather David M. Bell fought in the Civil War and used his mustering out land grant in Ks or Neb to eventually help buy the Niles Township land..
