Welcome to the memorial page for

Brianna Marie DiBattiste

February 20, 1989
DUNKIRK – Brianna Marie DiBattiste had been missing since June 16, 2014.  After almost three months of searching and praying for her return, she was found on September 1, 2014.

Brianna was born on February 20, 1989.  She lived in Dunkirk and was a 2007 graduate of Jay County High School.  She was a loving, kind, and non-judgmental person.  We will miss her bright smile, her giggle, and the way she always gave us a hug when she said goodbye.  Brianna had a very notable tattoo of a torn heart on her right arm, but all that knew her knows her own heart was big enough to accept anyone as her friend.

Brianna’s story has touched so many lives that “Finding Brianna” has over 5,000 members.  Hundreds and even thousands of people in our community and throughout the United States have reached out to her family in attempts to find and bring her home.

She is survived by her mother and step-father: Julie & Tim Hunt, her father: Anthony DiBattiste, and her sister: Brittany DiBattiste; also, two step-brothers: Kyle & Tyler Hunt; grandparents: Floyd & Joyce Williams and Luella DiBattiste; two nephews, a niece, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather: Nick DiBattiste; step-grandfather: Cap Arbuckle; an uncle: Paul DiBattiste, and three cousins: Andrew Eltzroth, Adam DiBattiste, and Andrea DiBattiste.

A celebration of Brianna’s life will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Redkey United Methodist Church led by Pastor Randy Davis.

Calling hours will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. on Saturday at the church in Redkey.

Memorials may be made to Redkey United Methodist Church with a designation to their addiction group (122 W. Main St., Redkey, IN 47373).

Brianna’s family is very thankful and appreciative for the love & support of friends, family, clergy, police departments, and community.
