ALBANY – Marjorie J. Selvey, age 79, Albany, passed away unexpectedly the evening of Friday July 2, 2010, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Born at home in Delaware County, she was the daughter of Howard & Helen Bullock. She graduated from Albany High School in 1949 and worked for the Delaware Community School Corp. for several years before retiring in 1993. Marjorie enjoyed going to the lakes, camping, and bird watching. She also enjoyed sports, particularly basketball & football, crocheting, and quilting. She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church and Delta Theta Tau sorority.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Max E. “Mick” Selvey; 3 sons: Gary Selvey (wife: Diana), Albany, Craig Selvey (wife: Jill), Albany, and Chris Selvey (wife: Angie), Muncie; her daughter: Kariann Jobe (husband: Steve), Muncie; a brother: Kenny Bullock, Muncie, and a sister: Beverly Jeffers, Albany. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Heather Carney, Wesley Selvey, Joseph Selvey, Austin Selvey, Alex Selvey, Jennalynn Selvey, Andrea Jobe, Lauren Jobe, Tyler Jobe, and 2 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Carney & Joey Carney.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Kathy Selvey, and a brother: Richard Bullock.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday July 6, 2010, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Don Selvey Scholarship, Albany E.M.S., Cancer Services of East Central Indiana, or An Albany Christmas, in care of Meacham Funeral Service, P.O. Box 275, Albany, IN 47320.

It is always difficult living so far away from family, but especially in these times. My prayers and thoughts are with you all in this very sad time. I will cherish many memories, thank you.

I was very sad to see that your wife had died. Know that she will always be with you in your heart and mind. Hold tight to these memories for they are very dear and will get you through this very difficult time.
