Richard D. Bishop

MODOC – Richard D. Bishop, age 63, Modoc, died Sunday September 18, 2016, at home from an apparent heart attack.  Born in Greensburg, Indiana on February 22, 1953, he graduated from Jennings County High School and had been a resident of Randolph County since 2000.  He was employed by M&S Screw Machine Products, Modoc, and had worked for R.E.M.C. trimming trees.  Rick was a proud member of Future Farmers of America and enjoyed mowing, cutting firewood, NASCAR, the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter, two brothers: Terry Bishop and William Robert Bishop (wife: Debbie), North Vernon; four sisters: Frieda Summers (friend: Connie), Shoals, Judy Stuehrenberg, North Vernon, Sara Hancock (husband: Gale), Greensburg, and Betty Scully (husband: John), Madison.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles & Maxine Bishop, Walter & Roseanna Low, and a brother: Fredrick Lee Bishop.

A memorial service will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday September 25, 2016, at the Modoc Volunteer Fire Department; donations will be accepted to defray expenses.
