Helen (Worley) Limerick

ALBANY – Helen L. Limerick, age 91, Albany, passed away Thursday August 12, 2010, at Albany Health Care. Helen was born in Hartford City on September 5, 1918. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles N. Worley who died in 1945 and her mother Ida (Spencer) Worley who died in 1954; a brother: Frank Worley, and 3 sisters: Sara Moore, Julia Weil, and Ruth Hall.

Helen married Charles E. Limerick on August 10, 1943 in Phoenix, AZ. They resided in Albany since 1960. Charles died April 20, 2007 at the age of 91. Their children are Suellen J. Trosper (husband: Walter “Doc”), Albany, and Philip C. Limerick (wife: Paula), Maple Lake, MN; 5 grandchildren: Angela (Fisher) Selvey (husband: Chris), Muncie, Tamara (Fisher) Zehner (husband: Ryan), Warren, Amber (Limerick) Bergdoll (husband: James), Elizabethtown, KY, Tarah Limerick, Princeton, MN, and Nathan Limerick, Maple Lake, MN, and 3 great-grandchildren: Austin Selvey and Zach & Charlie Zehner.

Helen was employed in the office of the Hartford City Paper Co., Army Airfield at Blyth, CA & Walla Walla, WA, and 15 years with the East Central Indiana American Heart Association, Muncie, where she retired at age 64. After retirement she became a china painter.
Helen was a member of Albany United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Business & Professional Women (BPW).

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Monday August 16, 2010, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be sent to East Central Indiana American Heart Association, Clarian Ball Hospice, or Cancer Services of East Central Indiana.

She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all of her caregivers while living at home as well as the nursing home.
