Ellen (Fuller) Steen

Ellen (Fuller) Steen, age 79, Albany, died Sunday January 15, 2017, at Parker Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Plummer’s Landing, Kentucky on October 25, 1937, she was the daughter of Sherman & Felma (Mullins) Fuller.  She moved to Indiana during the mid 1940’s and was an Albany resident most of her life.  Ellen was a Girl Scout leader in early years and worked various jobs in the area including fifteen years at the Dairy Dream.  She enjoyed spending summers with her family at the lake in Columbia City and being a homemaker.

Survivors include a son: Kevin Steen (wife: Annette), Muncie, and a daughter: Joy Beatrice (husband: Tony), Burlington, WI; two brothers: Gene Fuller, Sparta, TN, and Ronnie Fuller (wife: Marsha), Dunkirk; five grandchildren: Derek Beatrice, Adam Steen, Matthew Steen, Jonathan Steen, Aaron Steen, and two great-grandchildren: “Little Matthew” and Ella Steen.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 59 years, Dwain Steen, who died in March of last year; also deceased are her parents, two brothers: Lonnie & Tommy Fuller, and three sisters: Felma Mock, Stella Cox, and Classie Marcum.

Services were private; burial took place at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Dunkirk.
